The Centre for Psychiatry is a world leader in social, cultural, environmental and societal aspect of mental health research and care. The Centre for Psychiatry in the Wolfson Institute of Preventive Medicine focusses on prevention and treatment of mental illnesses, translation of research into public health strategies and practice– all to reduce premature mortality and disability and promote mental health and wellness.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time (1.0 FTE) post-doctoral Researcher working on an innovative research programme on: The recognition and treatment of depressive illness in renal dialysis patients: the role of inflammation. The project includes clinical epidemiology, using electronic and clinical records, data analysis, project management and delivery of the overall project with a team of senior researchers.

The research fellow appointment is a fixed term appointment for 2 years. The starting salary will be £32,956 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
