Hematology and Medical Oncology，Weill Medical College

Weill Cornell Medicine seeks 2 highly motivated professional PhDs for Postdoctoral positions in the Melnick lab.

Position 1:

To develop novel approaches for precision medicine immunotherapy approaches, using the tools of immunology and genomics. Skills in immunology and molecular biology are required.

Requirements: PhD degree with experience in standard and specialized laboratory skills including immunology, mouse models, and molecular biology and genetic systems such as CRISPR, shRNA, etc. Manuscript writing and presentations in meetings will be required.

Position 2:

To explore the interface between epigenetic mechanism, signaling pathways and cancer. Skills in epigenetic research, chromatin, biochemistry and genomic assays are required.

Requirements:PhD degree with experience in standard and specialized laboratory skills including epigenomic assays, comprehensive data analysis skills, manipulations of target gene expression using viral vectors, functional analyses in mouse disease model. Manuscript writing and presentations in meetings will be required.

The work will be performed under the supervision of Dr. Ari Melnick, Professor of Medicine. The applicants are expected to be independent thinkers with the highest professional skills.

The candidates should be self-motivated, with a proven track record of productivity. The applicants would be joining a highly supportive and interactive research team including cancer biologists, immunologists, hematopathologists, and computational biologists.

Appointments are for one year, with renewal based upon satisfactory performance and funding availability.
