Job Description

Two postdoctoral positions are immediately available for a recent Ph.D. or MD/Ph.D. candidate (graduated within the last year or graduating this year). Mani lab is investigating various aspects of EMT and cancer stem cells in promoting metastasis. We have two projects for which we are looking for postdoctoral candidates. One is to study the role of Notch signaling in regulating stem cell properties and metastasis and the second one is to develop a novel small molecule inhibitor to target EMT, stem cell properties, and metastasis. The postdoctoral fellows will be collaborating with clinicians and other basic scientists within MD Anderson as well as across Texas medical center. Qualified candidates should have an excellent first author publication during Ph.D. training and should have a strong background in one or more of the following areas: molecular/cell biology, stem cell biology, mouse modeling, etc. Ability to work with others and eagerness to learn new stuff is primary.
