Postdoctoral position at Yale: neural circuit function, visual neuroscience, optogenetics

The Demb laboratory at Yale University is accepting applications for a postdoctoral position to investigate neural circuit function in the mammalian retina. The lab focuses on understanding how specific cell types and synapses contribute to visual processing. There are also opportunities to study mechanisms of retinal disease. Experiments are performed in the in vitro mouse retina using optogenetics, two-photon imaging and electrophysiology.

The ideal candidate would have a background in neuroscience or a related discipline; a record of productivity; strong written and oral communication skills; and experience in some of the following: patch clamp electrophysiology, two-photon imaging, optogenetics, computer programming.
