Essential Job Duties:

The Postdoctoral Research Scholar will conduct research in a sparse tensor network project with Faculty co-mentors Dr. Li and Dr. Mueller. A successful candidate will have a proven track record of research excellence in the area of high performance computing for Sparse Tensor networks; exhibit leadership, communication, and organization skills. Specific job responsibilities for the Postdoctoral Research Scholar position will be the following:

Conduct research in areas of high performance computing for sparse tensor networks, such as parallel algorithms, runtime, and compiler

Mentor undergraduate and graduate students conducting research

Write and publish the results of that research in peer-reviewed venues

Conduct funding related tasks (e.g., reporting)

Coordination of and participation in project meetings

Collaborate with professors at two other universities to integrate work together

Lead and participate in public engagement and outreach activities

Perform other related duties as assigned or requested

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM

Highly motivated, organized individual

Interpersonal skills needed to collaborate with the rest of the research team

Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field awarded no more than five (5) years from initial date of postdoctoral appointment.

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education:

PhD degree in Computer Science, Computational Science, or Computational Mathematics

Research record on High-Performance Computing

Experience in numerical methods and knowledge of linear algebra are beneficial

Anticipated Hiring Range:

$72,000 - $76,000
