The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity is available for a Research Fellow to join the School of Physics and Astronomy at Monash University.

The Research Fellow will conduct research in experimental optical physics and spin-resonance based magnetometry and investigate developing applied quantum measurement for magnetometry applications, in particular, developing a nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centre in diamond-based magnetometer.

The Research Fellow will be responsible for conducting cutting-edge research either as part of a team or independently. The Research Fellow will also be responsible for producing conference papers and publications, participating in professional activities such as conferences and seminars, and administrative tasks related to the academic's research.

As the successful candidate, you will have a doctoral qualification or equivalent in experimental physics or a closely related field, as well as a strong background and understanding in experimental physics, including NV centre/defect physics, and/or optics and/or magnetic spin resonance. The successful candidate should also have demonstrated analytical and manuscript preparation skills, including a track record of refereed research publications.
