Postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Prof. Mikhail Nikiforov, Duke University Departments of Pathology and Biomedical Engineering.

The lab investigates mechanisms of skin development and homeostasis, and melanoma initiation, progression, and metastasis. Representative publications include Bianchi-Smiraglia et al Nature Methods; Bianchi-Smiraglia et al Nature Communications; Wolff et al Cell Chemical Biology; Bagati et al Cell Reports; Bagati et al Cell Death Differ. The lab has a strong record of postdoctoral fellows advancing their carriers to the Assistant Professor positions.

The successful candidate should hold a PhD degree in a relevant field and possess extensive hands-on experience in basic cell and molecular biology techniques (mammalian cell culture, cell transfection and transduction, western blotting, recombination protein generation, molecular cloning and RT-PCR), work with laboratory mice (transgenic mice, drug delivery, mouse tumorigenicity and metastasis assays, skin barrier integrity assay), and biostatistics tools.
