Multiple positions for studying neuronal circuit activity and behavior using in vivo two-photon imaging, electrophysiology, and modeling

The Han lab at Washington University studies learning and memory in the hippocampus. We investigate the cellular and neuronal circuit activity underlying spatial and cognitive learning in mice. Major approaches in the lab include in vivo two-photon imaging and electrophysiology during virtual reality and real world behavior, pharmacology, chemo/optogenetics, and computational modeling.

We are looking for creative and enthusiastic postdoctoral researchers or staff scientists with a PhD in neuroscience or related field. Scientists interested in moving into systems neuroscience from other backgrounds are welcome. Women and under-represented minorities are especially encouraged to apply. Our supportive and collaborative lab environment is geared towards giving scientists the skills and mindset to move on to the next level, whatever they may choose. Prior experience in imaging, electrophysiology, mouse behavior, or modeling is preferred but not required.

Washington University is an outstanding research university and our lab is located in the heart of the School of Medicine. We have strong ties with the larger research community and are engaged in multiple productive collaborations.
