Postdoctoral Researcher in DNA Damage Responses and Cancer Therapeutics at the University of Pennsylvania

The laboratory of Dr. Eric J. Brown in the Department of Cancer Biology is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to investigate the mechanism of action of DNA damage response inhibitors (DDRi) as cancer treatments. This goal will be accomplished by identifying factors recruited to DNA replication forks upon drug treatment and determining the precise sites of DNA breakage (Shastri, Tsai et al., Mol Cell, 2018). Findings from these studies will be correlated with tumor-associated mutations as part of a multi-institutional clinical trial to identify biomarkers of responsiveness. This research will identify drug-response factors that determine sensitivity to treatment in the clinic.

This entry-level position is available immediately. Qualified candidates will have a PhD or MD-PhD in DNA damage responses or a highly related field with extensive experience in protein purification, LC-MS/MS, ChIP-based methods, and genome-wide DNA sequencing.
