美国圣路易斯华盛顿大学2021年招聘博士后(基因表达调控与RNA生物学)

Postdoctoral Fellow in Gene Expression Regulation and RNA Biology

Washington University in St. Louis (WUSTL)

A postdoctoral research position is available for NIH-funded research in the lab of Dr. Sergej Djuranovic at the Department of Cell Biology and Physiology in Washington University, School of Medicine. Djuranovic Lab is primarily interested in understanding the mechanisms of post-transcriptional gene regulation. We focus on RNA-binding proteins (RBPs), ribonucleoprotein (RNP complexes), mRNA and protein sequence motifs, all of which control translational efficiency of their target mRNAs or are involved in general RNA and protein metabolism. We are taking advantage of biochemical, molecular/cellular biology, computational, and genetics approaches to study mechanisms by which microRNAs, RNA-binding proteins, and components of mRNA surveillance mechanisms regulate gene expression in health and disease states. We focus on topics such as cell differentiation, cancer, neurodegeneration and malaria.
