Salary: $107,547 - $127,707 (Level B)

Role & Superannuation rate: Academic - Full time - 17% super

We are seeking an experienced research fellow to support an established program of work developed by Professor Adam Elshaug, measuring and reducing waste to optimize value in health care, an area in which he and his team have developed novel, award winning methods utilizing administrative health data. The program includes collaborations with Commonwealth and State health departments, private health insurers, and other actors within healthcare, including international partners.

The ideal candidate is proficient in statistical analysis of routinely collected and/or longitudinal survey data (e.g Medicare or hospital inpatient) using statistic packages such as SAS, STATA, R, MLwiN, SPSS, SQL; experienced in managing partnerships with external stakeholders and in writing reports and/or peer-reviewed journal articles. You will be able to work collaboratively within a research team, manage large datasets and you will understand the Australian Health Care system.
