Are you an ambitious researcher looking for your next challenge? Do you have a background in Applied Health Research? Do you want to further your career in one of the UK's leading research intensive Universities?

We are looking for an enthusiastic Research Fellow (0.6fte) to work in the School of Healthcare on an exciting and novel NIHR-funded study.

The Comprehensive Geriatrician-led Medication Review (CHARMER) programme is a NIHR Programme Grant for Applied Research funded project led by the University of East Anglia (UEA) with collaborators at the universities of Leeds, York, Newcastle, Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Cambridge University NHS Foundation Trust. The project will refine and test a practitioner behaviour change intervention to increase proactive deprescribing for older people in hospital. The early phases of the research programme involved refining and feasibility testing the intervention. The latter phase of the research programme is a national cluster randomised trial with internal pilot across multiple hospitals to investigate the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness. If the project progresses to full trial, there is the potential to extend the position until 30/06/2025. We will also work with our patient and public representative members of the research group to formulate and implement a comprehensive dissemination package.
