Postdoctoral scholar position available in the Zlokovic's lab at the Zilkha Neurogenetic Institute Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California, Los Angeles for studies on “Microbiome and blood-brain barrier (BBB) in Alzheimer's disease (AD)” using iPSC-derived microfluidic and other organotypic culture models of human BBB and neurovascular unit, and transgenic models with genetic risk factors for AD. The ideal candidate will have experience in the field of microbiology, and stem cell biology and/or working with transgenic models. He/she will work under supervision of the Principle Investigator, and will closely collaborate with other Research Scientists in the lab and lab members.

Preferred Education: PhD degree

Preferred Experience: 3 years or more experience with microbiology and stem cell biology or transgenic models.

Preferred Field of Expertise: Including but not limited to microbiome, stem cell biology, and/or neurobiology, or vascular biology.

Minimum Education: PhD, MD or equivalent doctorate within previous five years Minimum Experience: 1 year Minimum Field of Expertise: Directly related education in research specialization with advanced knowledge of equipment, procedures and analysis methods Effective 07/01/19, Postdoc Scholars minimum salary: $50,004. Grant Funded ~ Postdoc Scholar position renewal annual; up to 5 years maximum.
