The Biotechnology and Bioengineering group at the Department of Biosystems Science and Engineering (D-BSSE) of the ETH Zurich in Basel is recruiting a Post-Doc for research projects in the fields of personalized medicine and bioelectronics.

Job description

The projects involve developing novel synthetic biology-inspired engineering principles to program mammalian cells and shape the biomedical applications of the future. Our group uses state-of-the-art Synthetic Biology principles to develop cell-based therapies for the treatment of cancer as well as metabolic, autoimmune and infectious diseases. Your profile

The successful candidate is exceptionally motivated to work at the interface of electrical and genetic engineering and highly skilled in standard molecular and cell biology techniques and/or has experience in cultivating/differentiating human stem cells. Additionally, we expect an outstanding publication record as well as the ambition to pursue an academic career or initiate spin-off activities.
