Understanding the role of DNA repair, RNA stability and telomere maintenance in tissue fitness and transformation using human stem cells as a model

A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the Department of Medicine, Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, MO, United States. The Batista Lab is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to study the role of DNA repair, RNA stability and telomere maintenance on human disease and cancer, using human pluripotent stem cells and targeted differentiation approaches as a model (Fok et al Stem Cell Reports 2017; Fok et al Blood 2019; Munroe et al Hepatology 2020; Shukla, Jeong et al, Blood Advances 2020). This project will likely involve Chip-Seq, single-cell RNA-Seq, CRISPR genome editing, and human stem cell differentiation assays.

The successful candidate should have a good publication record, and strong background in molecular biology and cell biology. Preference will be given to individuals with hands on experience on techniques associated with stem cell culture and genome engineering. The successful candidate must be highly self-motivated with a recent Ph.D. degree.
