Postdoctoral Fellow/Postdoctoral Associate Position

The Department of Pediatrics at Yale University School of Medicine seeks a Postdoctoral Fellow/Postdoctoral Associate to analyze novel genes identified in patients with congenital malformations including congenital heart disease and heterotaxy (a defect in left-right patterning). We intend to test these genes for phenocopy in Xenopus and then dissect the developmental mechanisms. Our overall approach is gene discovery in birth defects patients and developmental mechanism discovery in Xenopus. Qualified candidates will have significant experience in molecular, cellular, or developmental biology and a strong interest in developmental biology and congenital malformations.
