Weinviteapplicationsforafull-timePostdoc/SeniorResearcherposition(m/f/d)inthecontextofthe“CovSocial”project(www.covsocial.de)fundedbytheMaxPlanckSocietyandtheBerlinUniversityAlliance(BUA)underthedirectionofProf.Dr.MazdaAdli(CharitéBerlin)andProf.Dr.TaniaSinger(MaxPlanckResearchGroupSocialNeurosciences)andaconsortiumoffiveotherprofessorsfromCharité(Prof.Dr.SonjaEntringer&Prof.Dr.ChristineHeim),Humboldt-UniversitätzuBerlin(Prof.Dr.EmanuelVoelkle),FreieUniversitätBerlin(Prof.Dr.FelixBlankenburg)andMaxPlanckInstituteforPsychiatry(Prof.Dr.ElisabethBinder).Thepositionisinitiallylimitedto2yearswiththepossibilityofextension.

Theaimoftheprojectistoinvestigatefactorsrelatedtomentalhealth,socialstressandsocialcohesionaswellaspro-andantisocialandaddictivebehaviorsduringtheSARS-CoV2pandemicinalargecohortofBerlinercitizen.Theprojectisdividedintotwosuccessivephases.Theseinclude1)theretrospectiveassessmentofallrelevantvariablesinthefirstpandemicperiodfromMarchtoJuneand2)aprospectiveapp-basedEcologicalMomentaryAssessment(EMA)studyinavulnerablesubsampleincludingtheassessmentofobjectivestressand(epi)geneticmarkersaswellasbehavioralvariables.Thesecondphasealsoincludesamentaltraininginterventionstudywiththegoaltoreducestress,increaseresilienceandfostersocialcohesion.

YourTasks

·Implementationandexecutionofthetwophasesofthestudyincludinganapp-basedEcologicalMomentaryAssessment(EMA)studytorecordmentalhealthandsocio-emotionalexperiences(includingsocialcohesion)duringtheCovid-19pandemicwithwebandapp-basedmethodology.

·Evaluationofquestionnaireanddailystate-relatedlongitudinaltimeseriesdata(e.g.EMA).

·Analysisofstress-relatedbiomarkersand(epi)geneticmarkers.

·Analysesofbehavioraldata(prosocialbehavior,socialcognition,stressetc.)

·Implementationofanapp-basedmentaltrainingintervention.

·Interdisciplinarycollaborationwithexpertsinthefieldofpsychobiology(e.g.stressphysiology)andotherspecialistareas.

·Publicationoftheresultsinpeer-reviewedscientificjournals.

YourQualifications

·Successfullycompleteddissertationinthefieldofpsychology,socialneuroscienceoranotherrelevantsubject.

·Evidenceofhighscholarlypromiseintheformofpublicationsandotheracademicachievements.

·Experienceinthedevelopmentandimplementationofpsychologicalexperimentsandintheuseofmoderntechnologiesforthecollectionofpsychologicaldataineverydaylife(e.g.EMA,palmpilots,mobilephones,internet,eventsampling).

·In-depthknowledgeofmodernstatisticalanalysismethods(e.g.timeseriesanalysis,structuralequationmodels,etc.)andtheuseofsoftwarepackages(e.g.SPSS,R,MATLAB,etc.).

·VerygoodknowledgeofGermanandEnglish,bothspokenandwritten.

·Interestinmentaltrainingandmindfulness-basedinterventionstudiesandtranslationalfieldresearch.

·Commitment,organizationalskills,abilitytoworkindependently,abilitytoworkinateam,flexibility,carefulandorganizedwayofworking.

Theemployment,remunerationandsocialbenefitsarebasedonthecollectiveagreementforthepublicservice(TVöD,EG13).Allinstitutionsinvolved(Charité,Humboldt-UniversitätzuBerlin,FreeUniversityBerlinandtheMaxPlanckSociety)arecommittedtoincreasingthenumberofindividualswithdisabilitiesinitsworkforceandthereforeencouragesapplicationsfromsuchqualifiedindividuals.Furthermore,allinstitutionsseektoincreasethenumberofwomeninresearchandthereforeexplicitlyencouragewomentoapply.
