Job Description

A postdoctoral training position is available in the Translational Research for Ultrasound Theranostics (TRUST) program within the Department of Radiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center to study, develop and translate novel ultrasound-based gene delivery platforms. Our laboratory has several exciting projects related to targeted and activatable ultrasound contrast agents for gene therapy and imaging.

Candidates must hold a PhD and have a strong background in immunology, biology, biochemistry or biomedical engineering. Experience in CART therapy, gene delivery or CRISPR/cas9 gene editing leading to publication in peer-reviewed journals is recommended.

Additional required characteristics and skills include:

-Ability to maintain a safe and organized workplace

-Ability to rapidly learn and excel with new concepts, ideas, instruments and techniques

-Evidence of fluency in written and spoken English

Preferred characteristics and skills:

-Desire to work within multidisciplinary teams and relish in the collaborative effort

-Self-motivated and able to independently conduct research with attention to details to ensure goals are met

-Significant experience in lead roles on a variety of successful projects and collaborations

-Excellent interpersonal and communications skills and ability to present results at scientific meetings
