Job Description

The postdoctoral associate will be involved in research studies using mouse models and in vitro cell models to gain a greater understanding of long-term complications of rare metabolic disorders.

Required:

· PhD and/or MD in genetics, nutrition, biochemistry, molecular biology or related field.

· Experience working with mouse models and performing basic molecular genetic laboratory techniques such as PCR, qPCR, western blots, molecular cloning, and basic tissue culture cell studies.

Preferred: Experience with induced pluripotent stem cells.

Skills:

· Demonstrated ability to work independently in the design, performance and interpretation of research studies and in preparation of scientific manuscripts.

· Excellent organizational skills, communication skills, and critical thinking ability.
