Postdoctoral positions are available immediately in the laboratory of Professor Denis Evseenko www.evseenkolab.usc.edu at the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery/Stem Cell Research and Regenerative Medicine, University of Southern California.

Available positions are funded by 2 recent NIH R01 grants for up to 5 years and are focused on analysis of mouse and human skeletal progenitor cells. Projects involve the most advanced analytical techniques such as single cell sequencing, cell tracing and gene manipulation in vivo, mass spectrometry and have a direct translational relevance.

Requirements:

• Recent Ph.D. or M.D. /Ph.D. with significant basic science research experience.

• Experience with stem and/or progenitor cells.

• Experience with next generation sequencing and/or analysis including single cells sequencing, ATAC seq and other.

• Experience with genetic mouse models including gene overexpression and knockouts in vivo, cell tracing.

• Experience with mouse or rat surgeries and post-operational care. Experience with behavioral studies.

• Ability to design and carry out experiments with minimal supervision.

• Strong data analysis skills, e.g., Photoshop, ImageJ, bioinformatics-related applications.

• Excellent scientific/technical writing and communication skills exemplified by a record of first-authored publications in quality peer-reviewed journals and scientific presentations at national meetings.
