Postdoctoral Positions: Cellular/Molecular Mechanisms of Neurodegeneration and Altered Cognition in Multiple Sclerosis

Postdoctoral Fellow positions are available in the Department of Neurosciences at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner Research Institute. The successful candidate(s) will work for Professor and Department Chairman Bruce Trapp on a comprehensive NIH R35-funded research program. Areas of interest include: 1) Investigation of the molecular events responsible for primary neuronal degeneration in a new subtype of multiple sclerosis. 2) Molecular and physiological consequences of learning impairment caused by hippocampal demyelination. Candidates should have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. in a relevant discipline and a background in neuroscience.
