The salary will be paid at Grade 6, starting at £33,518 per annum, plus £2,923 per annum London Allowance.
This post will be Fixed Term Contract for 17 months.
This is a full time contract.
The post holder will report to Professor Catherine Shanahan and will perform research investigating the role of exosomes in vascular smooth muscle cell (VSMC) biology focusing on how exosome secretion is linked to VSMC migration, proliferation and ECM remodelling. The candidate should have experience in exosome biology including isolation, quantification and characterisation by flow cytometry. Experience in Confocal and Super-resolution microscopy as well as image analysis is highly desireable. The successful candidate will join a research group within the BHF Centre of Research Excellence which provides an excellent highly multidisciplinary environment with state-of-the-art equipment and facilities.
Candidates should have, or be about to obtain a PhD in Biological sciences or a related discipline.
The selection process will include a panel interview.
