A highly motivated candidate is invited to join the research group of Sara Buonomo as a post-doctoral researcher. The group studies DNA replication and nuclear organization in mammalian cells. In this project, funded by European Research Council (ERC), we will analyse the molecular relationship between nuclear architecture and DNA replication timing in stem cells. This post will involve manipulating during cell cycle protein levels in a fast and precise manner to study their role in the different stages of the DNA replication timing program in stem cells.

Applicants should have a PhD (or a PhD to be obtained shortly) in molecular biology, genetics, cellular biology or related areas.

Knowledge of DNA replication and DNA repair, molecular biology, genetics and epigenetics is desirable as is experience in a subset of the following techniques: molecular biology, bioinformatics analysis of deep sequencing data, FACS, ChIP, zebrafish development, production and purification of recombinant proteins. The candidate should have an outstanding academic track record commensurate with their career stage and experience, ideally including peer-reviewed published work. She/he is expected to be active in developing the project, to collaborate as appropriate, and to contribute to an enthusiastic working atmosphere.
