The Department of Biological and Medical Sciences of Oxford Brookes University is seeking a post-doctoral research scientist for work on characterising the action of plant extracts on the activity of the GABA receptor (RDL) from diverse insect species.

Experience in two-electrode voltage-clamp electrode physiology is highly desirable. Experience in basic molecular biology techniques including PCR and DNA cloning would be advantageous.

The post is full time during a fixed term for 6 months starting January 2018.

You should have experience in:

Two-electrode voltage-clamp electrophysiology

PCR and preparation of plasmid DNA

Preparation of solutions.
