国外博士后招聘:加利福尼亚大学细胞生物学方向博士后招聘

Postdoctoral Fellow-cancer cell biology : San Francisco, CA, United States

Job description

An NIH funded postdoctoral fellow position is immediately available in the Perera Lab at the University of California, San Francisco.

The focus of the Perera Lab is to define mechanisms via which cancer cells reprogram their metabolism via alterating organelle activity, particularly autophagy and lysosome function, in order to grow. We further investigate how these processes are coordinate at the transcriptional and epigenetic level. The candidate will utilize mouse genetics, in addition to proteomics, RNA-sequencing, cellular and molecular assays and transcriptional profiling in primary human cancer samples and cell lines to determine how transcriptional alterations in core metabolic programs enables adaption to cellular stress.

Desired skills and experience

Our lab is looking for highly motivated candidates with a recent PhD and a record of productive research as evidenced by at least 1 published manuscript in a peer reviewed international journal.

Candidates with previous experience in molecular biology, cell biology, epigenetics, metabolism and/or mouse models of cancer are preferred.

Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team are a precondition.
