Job Description

A Postdoctoral Research position is available in the Department of Chemistry Engineering and Biotechnology at Ariel University Israel.

The researcher will be working at the field of environmental biology, focusing on soil and wastewater bioremediation. There is also a novel project of microbial electrolysis cell for hydrogen production from wastewater. The research is focusing on the bacterial anode.

Qualifications and Skills required: The successful candidate will have a PhD in environmental biology/ microbiology. The candidate should have significant experience in the following subjects: anaerobic and aerobic bacterial growth and measurement, biofilm, wastewater treatment, BOD and COD analysis. Experience in SEM, AFM, HPLC and GC analysis will be considered as advantage for selecting the proper candidate.

Applicants are also expected to have a strong publication record as first authors.

A full scholarship is offered for two years. The program is expected to start as soon as possible after interviews have taken place.
