The position focus on the study of the role of macrophages in tissue repair. The laboratory uses a combination of flow cytometry analysis, RNAseq, immunofluorescence and in vitro assays to characterize macrophage subpopulations involved in the rescue of degenerative tissues after transplantation of hematopoietic stem cells in murine models of genetic disorders.The candidate should be highly self-motivated, with strong communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work independently, has a PhD, with a strong background in immunology, cell and molecular biology. Experience with mice, FACS and/or RNAseq are preferred.
