A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the Department of Genetics, Genomics and Informatics at University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Memphis, Tennessee

The successful applicant will work with an interdisciplinary team of investigators with expertise in cardiovascular disease, neurodegenerative disease, metabolic disease, anxiety or other mental disorder, glaucoma, and mouse genetics. Requirements include a Ph.D. or M.D., a strong record of research accomplishments and productivity, and research experience in at least one of the following areas: (1) Mouse and/or human genetics: experience with QTL, GWAS, and statistical genetics (2) bioinformatics or system biology: experience working with different types of high throughput data such as microarray, RNA-seq, and ChIP-seq; (3) genetics of cardiovascular disease: experience with cardiomyopathy research in particular; (4) Molecular biology: experience with gene cloning and loss-of-function technique.
